由 MONOLITHSOFT 製作，任天堂預定 6 月推出的 Wii 角色扮演遊戲《異域神劍（Xenoblade）》，現釋出新遊戲畫面與宣傳影片並公布搶先購入特典資訊，供玩家參考。
　　《異域神劍》是由曾製作《異域神兵》與《異域傳說》三部曲的 MONOLITHSOFT 高橋哲哉領軍製作，是款獨立於先前《異域》系列的原創新作，以遠古殘存的巨大神明遺骸為舞台，敘述人與機械紛爭下所展開的奇幻冒險。

巨神與機神驚天動地的大戰
　　遊戲以在遠古對決中殞命的「巨神」與「機神」遺骸為舞台，讓玩家以無接縫方式在部位（地區）之間移動，面對不同的生態與怪物，充分享受探索未知秘境的樂趣。
　　由於是以聳立的巨大神明遺骸為舞台，因此除了傳統的平面移動之外，還必須以跳躍方式來克服高低落差垂直移動，不過如果從太高的地方落下時將有可能會受到傷害。
　　遊戲中加入了便利的「地標」功能，曾造訪過的地方只要選擇該地的地標，就可以省略移動過程直接前往該地。對於接下來要造訪的目的地也會以箭頭方式標示方位。
　　居住在巨神上的人們有著各自的生活與性格，會根據早中晚等不同時段而有著相對應的行動，展現豐富的生活百態。居民們彼此透過牽絆聯繫再一起，玩家可以聆聽居民的煩惱或懇求，並以行動來改變他們的生活。遊戲並提供可自由調整時間的便利功能。
　　戰鬥部分同樣採用不切換場景的無接縫轉換方式，只要接近場景中的怪物就會直接展開戰鬥。戰鬥時可以自由在場景中行動，一邊移動到怪物側面或背面，一邊與夥伴一同施展被稱為「技藝（Arts）」的必殺技聯手對抗敵人，體驗即時動作感受的刺激戰鬥。
　　遊戲中玩家將扮演霍姆斯族（ホムス）青年休爾克（シュルク），因緣際會下取得了 1 年前英雄丹班（ダンバン）賴以擊退機神大軍入侵的神劍摩納多（モナド），取得的瞬間休爾克看見了不可思議的幻覺，並獲得能預見未來的「未來視（ビジョン）」能力。
　　戰鬥中休爾克將發揮神劍摩納多以及未來視的能力，來面對各式各樣的挑戰。
　　任天堂同時也宣布，將提供搶先購入遊戲的玩家「異域神劍特別原生配樂輯」作為特點贈品，嚴選收錄部分由光田康典、下村陽子、ACE+、清田愛美所作曲的遊戲配樂。
